We have a Pennine pathfinder purchased in 2007, on holiday on the north west coast of Scotland in the spring of 2011 the gales came, the local weather station recorded 90 miles per hour winds. During the day the camper was rocking and shacking we wondered if the camper could survive. That night it was imposable to sleep in the camper, we moved the car so that it was sheltered from the winds, so that we could spend the night in the car. After having a very restless nights sleep we awakened wondering if the camper had survived. On rounding the corner there it was it had survived, on inspection the only damage was a elastic band for one of the windows. If it can survive the north of Scotland weather it can survive any thing. So if you have any worriers if the campers are any good in high winds take my word for it it is.

We bought our 2009 Crusader in October 2011. Since then we have holidayed in high winds (Oxford), driving rain (New Forrest) and 40oC heat (France). The kids and us love it. It's also a good conversation maker as people are inquisitive as to how it works. I never tire of the look on peoples faces when they see inside. Its a brilliant piece of kit.

Got a Pennine Sterling 510 Brought it in 2006 second hand year of manufacture 2003 , we love it, had some brill holiday in it and some rainy ones, easy to,tow,& erect. Its a toss up next year a new car or new camper. Are you thinking of getting a camper then go for it, either dealer or web site, if its web site, go and see it, and not just folded, put it up, have a tow with it, dont pay a penny till you have had time to go home and think it over and had a look at some dealer sites.

We are on our third Pennine folding camper, In the past we have had an aztec, a fiesta and our present one is a sterling, we think they are great, easy to tow and store, and once you get in to a routine the main cabin unit of our sterling can be up in 20 mins, would recommend them.

We are on our third Pennine Folding Camper and have owned one since 1994. We have always loved using this equipment and have belonged to the Pennine Owners club since 1995, why not give it a go when you buy.

My brother bought a Pennine Fiesta acouple of years ago and we went away with them last August. Even though it rained all week we had a great time. We were so impressed we went and bought a Conway Cruiser 1998 model. It is in mint condition and testament to the build quality and prior owners. We have been away in it four times already. Would recommend to anyone.

We would just like to say to anyone who is thinking of buying a Folding Camper, GO AHEAD THERE GREAT easy to erect and to tow, practical and brill inside. Ours has survived in some fairly windy condidions as we camp from Feb to Nov We have just traded our 2006 Pullman for a Brand new Quartz 4 and cannot wait to take delivery back end of March.

A word of warning to anyone buying a folding camper. Please think twice about using any well known bidding sites for the purchase of these items. We have recently had the unfortunate experience of attempting to buy by this method. We thought that we had taken every precaution possible but have still managed to lose alot of money through fraud. When we reported this to the police we have been informed that this is a very frequent occurance especially on large items such as folding campers and these crimes are difficult to trace. Obviously the website involved were unhelpful in the extreme and are washing their hands of the whole thing.
My recommendation is to only use reputable dealers/sites and avoid the disappointment that we face of possibly never been able to afford another folding camper again.
Please pass this on to anyone you might know who is considering buying by these means as I would dearly love to stop this happening to others.
